The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has received another hotfix that is said to improve the overall stability and implement a variety of fixes for specific features. Since The Witcher 3's new-gen patch arrived last week, players have been continuously reporting technical errors and crashes that are trying to be ironed out before the Holiday break.

The long-awaited new-gen update for CD Projekt Red's seminal open-world role-playing game was highly praised by critics and fans alike, who lauded not only the expected improvements to frame rate and graphical fidelity, but the new content added at no expense too. Alongside ray-tracing and a Performance mode on consoles came an alternative camera angle, an in-game method for casting Signs, unique armor/weapons, and a brand-new quest inspired by the Netflix adaptation. However, inverting the experience many faced with Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3 players on PC were suffering through several issues that varied from visual glitches to frequent crashing and flooding the developers with reports.

Announced on the official Twitter account for The Witcher, another hotfix is now live that will not change the game version. A complete list of amendments is listed on the technical support hub for CD Projekt Red titles, which include fixes to photo mode, the Arabic language, Toxicity becoming stuck at the maximum level, Steam Deck optimizations, and "more." Unlisted additions likely pertain to the "overall stability improvements" that develop upon the previous patch released three days ago. Tracking down glitches has seemingly become a favorite pastime of some Witcher 3 players, who have been sharing videos about anything from the discoloration of Geralt's famous hair to the Continent witnessing the worst drought in its history.

The documentation of errors aside, players have been noting some of the intentional differences introduced by the update, such as Yennefer's Room Key finally being afforded Relic rarity. Previously, when Geralt was given the item it would appear as Common, starting a long-running meme that joked maybe the destined lovers' connection was not so unique.

As well as acknowledging community in-jokes, CD Projekt Red crafted a significant amount of new content for a free offering and even kept a few additions secret. One of these hidden Easter eggs has since been discovered to be none other than Henry Cavill's dog, Kal, who settles in Devil's Pit depending on the conclusion of a new quest that takes place there. A YouTuber named xLetalis dedicated themselves to uncovering rare occurrences in The Witcher 3, has been busy showcasing changes like Kal, and even the inclusion of expanded cutscenes.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PC, PS4, PS5 Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
