With some of the best-designed monsters in gaming, The Witcher series has become the go-to video game to satisfy monster-slaying needs. But with so many sorcerers in the game, it makes players wonder who would come out on top if they went head to head with some of the consoles’ most famed foes.

Triss is not only one of Geralt’s love interests in The Witcher, but she is a sorceress with some impressive powers, especially in Wild Hunt. With these powers, she has battled and taken down unchained beasts and vampires, and even creatures as pathetic and magically bankrupt as human beings.

10 She Could Defeat: Khotun Khan (Ghost of Tsushima)

Khotun Khan might not only have the most punchable face of any villain this side of PlaySation exclusives, but he is also not as powerful as he believes.

His giant spear may be a hindrance in Jin’s penultimate battle in Ghost of Tsushima, but if Jin can turn him into a donut by creating a giant hole in the middle of his chest, Triss would turn him into a kebab, swiveling on his own spear whilst set on fire.

9 She Could Not Defeat: Zeus (God of War)

Zeus in God of War

Triss does have god-like abilities and to even weaken her is an almost impossible task, but going up against the face in the sky from God of War leads to an obvious fate.

The only reason Kratos got as far as he did in God of War was that he was fuelled by passion and anger. Being a face-off in the depths of hell, without that fire underneath her, there is no way Triss could take on the God.

8 She Could Defeat: Shao Khan (Mortal Kombat)

Though Shao Khan is one of the deadliest Mortal Kombat foes who not only creates portals but is highly trained in combat, all Triss has to do is keep a decent distance away from the masked hammer wielder, and she’ll easily make short work of him.

Khan is all bravado, Whereas Triss is much more headstrong, she’s already one up on him on intelligence alone, and she has faced much more powerful enemies in The Witcher.

7 She Could Not Defeat: Majora (Legend Of Zelda)

Majora may be one of the most iconic parts of Legend of Zelda, and more importantly, Majora is menacing and has an assortment of mystical powers that could be a significant threat to Triss, including twisting minds and changing reality.

However, magically seducing Geralt isn’t the only power that Triss has, as she has similar powers to Majora that would make them equal foes. But Majora would definitely come out on top owing to her knowledge and raw force.

6 She Could Defeat: The Joker (Batman Arkham Series)

Save for a couple of dynamite sticks, there isn’t much that will stop Triss from torching the Joker alive. Sure, the Joker turned an entire city into a giant bat trap in Batman: Arkham City, he faked his own death and fooled everyone, and he may even deserve his own video game, but at the end of the day he is just a mere mortal.

There is an argument to be made that the Joker has taken on and torn apart the entire Justice League, but in the canon of the Arkham games, the Joker doesn’t stand a chance when face to face with a sorceress.

5 She Could Not Defeat: GlaDOS (Portal)

Maybe GlaDOS could be destroyed, but it has been proven time and again that the computer can never truly be defeated. Triss can undoubtedly crush the hardware that GlaDOS inhibits, but the computer even survived as a potato in Portal 2.

GlaDOS mentally abuses her prisoners, and though Triss has proven that she is strong-minded, it’s unclear where the sorceress stands on cake. Triss isn’t the only strong female protagonist, but not even Chell could kill her, and as GlaDOS spared Chell’s life, Triss would be lucky if GlaDOS the same happened to her.

4 She Could Defeat: Vaas (FarCry 3)

Vaas is one of the most beloved psychopaths in gaming, and he struck fear into most gamers in FarCry 3. Known for drug smuggling and human trafficking, the man is the devil incarnate. Just look at those eyes.

However, without his never-ending stream of artillery and hallucinogenic drugs, he is nothing more than a fairly lean scumbag who could easily be mistaken for just another pirate in the first Uncharted game. It wouldn’t take long for Triss to carve her way through him.

3 She Could Not Defeat: Dr Neo Cortex (Crash Bandicoot)

Neo Cortex might be theatrical, clumsy, and often gets outwitted by an animal, but he created three full islands of puzzles and obstacles for the ginger PlayStation mascot in the original Crash Bandicoot. Cortex is a mad scientist who shouldn’t be overlooked. Both Cortex and Triss are potion masters, but Triss is allergic to portions.

Not only that, but the flat head’s branded villain also perfected time travel in Crash Bandicoot: Warped, which is something that Triss couldn’t possibly take on, and with spacecrafts and lasers in his arsenal, Cortex might just be the one human being that could best her.

2 She Could Defeat: Ultemecia (Final Fanatasy VIII)

Triss and Ultemecia would be very evenly matched, as they are both sorceresses, but Ultemecia is the “most evil sorceress” that Final Fantasy characters have ever encountered.

She certainly looks and acts evil, with a long blood-red gown, devil horns, and she speaks almost only in non-sequiturs, but this is the exact opposite of Triss, who is upfront, no BS, and speaks her mind. Ultemecia can spawn demons that do her work for her, but she doesn’t really do much battling herself, leaving her exposed to Triss’ powers.

1 She Could Not Defeat: Alduin (Skyrim)

Triss is no stranger to monsters, and there are some of the weirdest video game creatures in The Witcher series, but nothing can prepare her for the wrath of Alduin the biggest threat in Skyrim.

Alduin is one of many names given to the monster, he is also the Nordic god of destruction, and he literally has the nickname World Eater. Even when he is defeated, he never really dies as his soul lives on until his destiny is fulfilled.
