The Nintendo Switch release date for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has potentially been leaked by a European retailer. The game's developer CD Projekt RED officially announced the Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at E3 2019 after months of rumors, but it didn't confirm a release window for the game beyond "2019."

CZC.CZ, a video game retailer in the Czech Republic says that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released for Nintendo Switch on September 24, 2019. The retailer is one of the largest computer and electronics retailer in the country and is one of the largest online retailers in the Czech Republic in general. The information about the release date hasn't been officially confirmed, but the size of the retailer means that it may have received this information through official sources.

After news of the release date was posted on Reddit, one fan who had pre-ordered the Switch version of the game said that their GameStop pre-order also had a date of September 24. One retailer saying the release date is September 24 could be a mistake, but with two now agreeing on the date, it seems more likely.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Nintendo Switch rumor evidence

If The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is releasing on Nintendo Switch on September 24, then September is going to be a very busy month for the console. Nintendo will also be releasing The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening in September as well, with the game set to launch on September 20.

Fantasy RPG  Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, is also releasing on September 20. Third-person shooter Daemon x Machina and run and gun game Contra Rogue Corps are set to release on Nintendo Switch that month, too. Nintendo Switch owners who want to get their hands on all of these games at launch had better start saving up.

Switch players will also want to set aside a good amount of time. The Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes with all of the game's DLC, such as the Hearts of Stone expansion. The base game can take players dozens of hours to complete and much longer than that and the expansions add around 30 more hours of gameplay. With the CD Projekt RED title releasing next to other large titles, few Switch owners are going to be bored this September.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on Nintendo Switch in 2019, and is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
