Released to near-universal critical acclaim in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a much-beloved open-world fantasy RPG. Developed by CD Projekt RED and based on books by Polish novelist Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher 3 follows the titular witcher and monster slayer for hire, Geralt of Rivia, as he hunts down beasts and searches for his missing adopted daughter, Ciri.

Reddit user Berserker911 has produced a graphic pencil sketch of protagonist Geralt of Rivia holding several severed beast heads. Inspired by an official poster created for the game, Berserker911’s rendition is an immaculately detailed monochrome piece that captures the foreboding stoicism of Geralt and matches the dark fantasy tone of The Witcher 3.

The incredible creation has drawn plenty of positive attention on the site, earning over 130 upvotes as of writing. Other Witcher fans are praising Berserker911’s striking use of shading and commending them on their obvious skill and talent. Berserker911 has stated that he plans to keep the impressive piece and get it framed to be displayed on their wall.

With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt being as adored as it is by the gaming community it is unsurprising to see such unbelievable art being produced to celebrate the title. The Witcher universe is showing no signs of slowing down either, with a next-generation version of The Witcher 3 currently in the works by Saber Interactive and season 2 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation set to launch in December of this year. Fans of The Witcher certainly have plenty of content to look forward to.

Of course, the world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn’t the only one that manages to capture the imagination of its adoring fans.
