The beloved game The Witcher 3 is filled with dozens of characters that all have their own unique personalities. That leads to the question that some players might have thought: which character would players be based on their Chinese zodiac sign? Which sign to these characters even fall under?

From characters that are kind, grumpy, courageous, or shifty, plenty of characters from The Witcher 3 can be connected to the Chinese Zodiac in some way or another. Here's a list of which characters from The Witcher 3 fall under which sign. For this list, DLC characters are not being considered. Spoiler warning ahead.

12 Rat: Avallac'h

Rats are known for being smart, observant, and advantageous.

Avallac'h fits this description well, as he's seen as very intelligent in the game, and he takes advantage of whatever situation he's in, even if it means keeping his plans to himself.

11 Ox: Geralt

The ox is seen as someone who is strong, plans carefully, and doesn't have the best social skills. This fits Geralt pretty well, as he's one of the strongest characters in the game and he can plan out large attacks and random encounters using oils or magic.

Also, he's sometimes seen as cold or too blunt when talking to other characters.

10 Tiger: Lambert

Tigers are known to be courageous and charming but are sometimes seen as arrogant, ill-prepared, and quick to anger. Lambert is a good example of this based on how he talks himself up at times and acts like he's better than others.

He's also quite aggressive and would prefer to act hastily instead of making a careful plan like Geralt.

9 Rabbit: Eskel

Eskel in The Witcher 3

Rabbits tend to be patient, quiet, and they are one of the more compassionate members of the zodiac. They can sometimes be seen as a bit too guarded though, and they don't always speak up as much as they should.

Eskel is one of the more quiet witchers that players see, but he takes his time, he's friendly, and he tries to consider the feelings of others often. There are plenty of chances for him to speak up and make more of an impact in the game, but he usually just goes along with whatever anyone else is doing.

8 Dragon: Zoltan

Dragons have a reputation as being so courageous that they'll face any problem head-on, but this can also come off as a bit antagonistic to others. Still, they are seen as very powerful while also having a strong sense of determination and ambition.

Zoltan embodies this based on how he's always ready to drop everything and help a friend, regardless of how big the problem is (like fighting the Wild Hunt). He's a strong fighter, and he's able to take care of tough situations, like how he helps to keep riff-raff out of the Chameleon.

7 Snake: Yennefer

Yennefer in The Witcher 3

The snake is a member of the zodiac that is known for being very wise, independent, and strong-minded. They tend to be suspicious of other people, which can lead to them being jealous or stressed around others who they don't trust.

Yennefer is an extremely powerful sorceress, showing how much she's learned throughout the years. In many cases, she prefers to work alone, and she's determined to get the job done as best she can. Players do see her get quite jealous in The Witcher 3 as well since Triss is around too.

6 Horse: Dandelion

Horses are very lively, and they like to be the center of attention around lots of people. While they are kind, they can sometimes have a problem with thinking about themselves too much, especially when it comes to spending money.

Dandelion has a reputation as being a loyal friend to Geralt, and he's always compassionate when it comes to helping his friends. Still, he is a flashy performer, and he tends to get himself into bad situations by going overboard, like getting himself into debt.

5 Goat: Triss

Triss in The Witcher 3

Goats are fairly likable members of the zodiac, as they are usually very kind, unwavering, and they try to help others whenever possible. While many people see them as very quiet and shy on the outside, goats will make sure that they aren't underestimated, especially when fighting for justice.

Triss has shown how much she cares for others time and time again. She even went above and beyond to try and rescue as many mages in Novigrad as she could. She's also shown that she's not to be underestimated, as she is known for using powerful magic and favors using fire magic often.

4 Monkey: Dudu

Monkeys tend to be tricksters because of their smarts and their charisma. They can gain knowledge about their surroundings quickly, and these lessons tend to lead to them feeling more confident in different situations.

While Dudu might not be malicious about it, he is a doppler, so his ability to change his appearance can be seen as trickery to some people. This ability does show his intelligence with how he uses someone's memories because he can quickly learn how to act like different people whenever he takes on a new appearance.

3 Rooster: Hjalmar an Craite

Those who are roosters are usually very extroverted. They are very talkative and are usually in a group. They like attention, and can often get upset if people aren't paying attention to them. They are also not known for having patience, so they tend to spring into action rather than make plans.

Hjalmar an Craite is definitely known as being the center of attention. He doesn't think things through a lot, like how he ran off to kill an ice giant to try and prove that he should be king of Skellige. His sociability does earn him many friends, and he is known to be a loyal companion.

2 Dog: Ciri

People who are dogs are known for being trustworthy, and courageous, making them good companions. However, they can be closed-off and once they have their mind set on something, it can be hard to talk them out of it.

Ciri is very reliable for her friends and family. Even her goal throughout most of The Witcher storyline is to get back to the people she loves. She can be a bit too determined at times, and she doesn't always take orders well, like when she went out to fight in Kaer Morhen even though everyone told her to stay inside.

1 Pig: Vesemir

Pigs are known for their generosity and kindness towards others. They do what they can to help others, and they are easy to forgive people. When they have a problem, they handle it with a level head and a calm demeanor.

Vesemir is often the calm voice of reason during several situations in The Witcher 3. He's generous with both the knowledge that he gives to his students, and with the home that he offers, like how Ciri was able to live and train in Kaer Morhen for a time.
