The popular Battle Royale game Fortnite continues to push forward with its new seasons and content on offer. Over the past year, the game has really started to lean on crossover events bringing in characters and franchises from other media to help it stand apart from competitors like Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends. Companies like Disney have really helped Epic Games succeed in this plan, offering not only new skins of Marvel and Star Wars characters, but also taking part in limited time modes as well as seasons like a recent one where Galactus was planning to invade Fortnite.

However, Epic hasn't just relied on the big names for its crossovers either and has managed to add all kinds of surprising characters like Halo's Master Chief and God of War protatonist Kratos. TV, comics, and movie franchises have also gotten in on the crossover content including Mike Lowry from Bad Boys, Rick and Morty, as well as various musical artists as well. Now, one of the bigger AMC shows, The Walking Dead, is also bringing one of its biggest characters to Fortnite.

In an announcement on Twitter, Fortnite revealed that Rick Grimes is now available to purchase inside the game's item shop for 1,500 V-bucks. In addition, fans can pick up the Walker Club havesting tool for 500 V-bucks, the Sheriff's Duffle back bling, and the rare Crashing Satellite glider. Players can grab a bundle pack with everything included for a discounted price of 1,900 V-bucks.

Not to be out done, the Fortnite Item Shop is also bringing back other Walking Dead chatacters Darryl Dixon and Michonne. The pair were originally added last December after being announced during The Game Awards. For players who want the complete Walking Dead bundle, they can pick up the Survivors In Arms bundle for 2,500 V-bucks and comes with both Darryl and Michonne, as well as their back bling weapons and alternative outfits.

Rick's inclusion comes at an appropriate time as the Halloween-inspired event Fortnitemares which arrived earlier this week and runs through November 1. As expected, fans can pick up plenty of Halloween Outfits each day during the event like Frankenstein's Monster or The Mummy. In addition, players will find new community curated modes inside of the Creative section of the game. Epic has also teased a special event happening during Fortnitemares where the mysterious purple cubes stationed around the island have been moving slowly and spreading corruption. Fans will finally discover just what these cubes are doing.

Fortnite is available right now for mobile, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
