The Suicide Squad was one of the biggest films at the box office in the year 2021 and was appreciated by fans and critics alike. Director James Gunn typically shares behind-the-scenes photos and videos from any project he works on, and actor Steve Agee has joined the trend by sharing a throwback image from the set of the successful film that shows a different side of the Polka-Dot Man and King Shark.

Gunn's The Suicide Squad consisted of unique and eccentric characters who were brought together to form Task Force X. Two of the key members of this secret group were David Dastmalchian's Polka-Dot Man and Sylvester Stallone's King Shark. But, what some fans may not have known is that Stallone only voiced the character, whereas Agee was actually Nanaue's stunt double or stand-in actor. He is the one dressed up in a bodysuit acting out the scenes, which were later modified via CGI. The latest behind-the-scenes image offers a look at his work.

Sharing the throwback image on his official Twitter account, Agee joked about how it was a “family vacation two years ago in Corto Maltese.” The image features Agee wearing the King Shark suit while he holds hands with Dastmalchian, who is dressed in his Polka-Dot Man costume. The two pose on the set of The Suicide Squad in what is potentially an image taken just before the final battle at Jötunheim was filmed. The two actors look entirely serious and don’t even smile for the cameras.

As part of the final battle in The Suicide Squad, the team goes up against Starro, the giant supervillain that looks like a starfish. The creature was brought to Corto Maltese by the US government as a test subject. When the alien starfish goes rogue, Task Force X decides to bring it down, despite being ordered by Viola Davis' Amanda Waller not to. Even though they manage to win the battle, they lose Dastmalchian's Polka-Dot Man in the fight. So, if Agee's picture is anything to go by, it seems like that’s the last vacation that Polka-Dot Man and King Shark will be going on.

Gunn kept the story going as part of the HBO Max series Peacemaker, which was a spin-off show for John Cena's character. Streaming earlier this year, the series looked at how Cena's character moved on after he was shot by Idris Elba's Bloodsport for betraying his teammates and killing Joel Kinnaman's Colonel Rick Flag. It remains to be seen whether The Suicide Squad will return with a sequel.

The Suicide Squad is streaming on HBO Max.
