The Sims 4 is a really fun life simulation game that allows players to create a character, known as a Sim, and control everything about their life. Players can customize their Sim's appearance, personality, and everything about their life from where they live and work to who they befriend and even marry.

This game is constantly getting new features in the form of Expansion Packs, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs. These add new features, new items, and sometimes even new neighborhoods for our Sims to live in. Although we totally love all the features that the game already has to offer us, there are still some things that would make an already fun game that much more amazing.

To see 10 things that we hope to see added to The Sims 4 in the new year, keep reading!

10 More Staircase Styles

For some fans of The Sims 4, the best part of the game is building a house. Although a big focus of the game is controlling the life of your Sim, it's also important to make sure that they have somewhere to live. There are a ton of amazing items to help build the perfect house for your Sim, but there are a few more items we'd like to see.

One of the main things we want to see in build mode is more types of staircases. There are already quite a few with some really cool railings, but there are some that we need. For instance, spiral staircases and ladders have yet to be added to the game.

9 More Supernatural Creatures

We've been pretty lucky to get quite a unique blend of different creatures in The Sims 4. Although we're still definitely free to create human Sims, we also have the option to make a variety of different supernatural creatures like Spellcasters, mermaids, aliens, and vampires. Pretty cool, right?

These supernatural options are a ton of fun, but we're definitely hoping to have some more added to the game in the future. Having other supernatural creatures like werewolves and fairies would make the supernatural fun even better.

8 Bunk Beds

It's a lot of fun to decorate rooms and get really creative with the layout and the furniture that goes in them. After Discover University was announced, many players were excited for the thought of all the dorm room-related items that would be added to the game! And we did get stuff like new posters, a mini-fridge, and some new food items that can be cooked in dorm rooms.

But unfortunately, one of the items that people were anticipating didn't make it into the game. One thing that The Sims 4 has been seriously missing is bunk beds! Some talented members of the Sims community used to make CC bunk beds, but unfortunately, an update made it so they no longer work.

7 More For Toddlers

Toddlers were added into The Sims 4 after a long wait. This life stage was missing from the game for quite a while, so players were excited to finally get to see their Sims' children grow up and go through this part of their lives.

Although we did get the Toddler Stuff Stuff Pack and have gotten a few toddler items here and there in other packs and updates, we want more! Toddlers are the one life stage that is often ignored when it comes to new packs, unfortunately. Hopefully, more toddler items will be added to future packs so we don't have to rely solely on CC clothes and hair for them.

6 Memories

A lot of features from past Sims games have made their way into The Sims 4. Although we definitely don't miss everything from past games, there are also a lot of fun ones that didn't make their way back into this game. Memories are one thing that appeared in past games like The Sims 2 that should be brought back!

When your Sim had a significant experience, like having a first kiss or growing up well from childhood into their teen years, they would get a memory about it. Some of these memories would be good while others would be less so. For people that are heavily focused on the story of their Sims, this feature is a ton of fun.

5 Farms (& Farm Animals)

There are a ton of different lifestyles that your Sims can have in The Sims 4. Whether you want your Sim to be a total city slicker who lives in San Myshuno in an apartment or a Spellcaster that calls Glimmerbrook home, you've got all kinds of options.

But, there's one lifestyle that's missing from the game. Living in a wonderful house in Willow Creek with a cat, dog, or Void Critter is a lot of fun, but what if our Sims want something more? Having a pack in the future that focuses on having a farm with crops and animals would be perfect.

4 More Active Careers

There are quite a few different careers in The Sims 4. Your Sim can do anything from becoming a scientist to a freelance artist, politician, or even social media influencer. Seriously, there's a job for just about everything in this game. Some of these careers are active careers, meaning that you can go with your Sim to their workday.

Unfortunately, not every career in The Sims 4 is an active one. This means there are some careers in which our Sims simply go to work and then come home after their shift ends. Hopefully, in 2020, we'll get more active careers added to the game.

3 Turn Ons & Offs

The Sims 4 has a ton of ways to customize our Sims' personalities and really make them unique. But, there aren't a lot of ways to set what makes them attracted (or unattracted) to other Sims. This is something that was present in past games but has since been removed from the franchise.

In previous games like The Sims 2, players were able to set their Sims' turn-ons and offs. They could be things like wearing glasses, having brown hair, or being good at cooking. These things had a major impact on the attraction system, another feature that has been removed from this installment in the series.

2 Cars

In past games, Sims were able to purchase a car and have it parked in front of their house. They'd then drive it whenever they were going somewhere, instead of simply walking away and disappearing. In The Sims 2, players could even fix up and sell cars!

Although this is something minor and it really doesn't change the way the game works, the fact that cars haven't been added back into the game yet is something that many fans are disappointed with. We can see them parked and driving around in the world, so why don't we have them yet?

1 Online Dating

Since online dating is so big in the real world these days, it's kind of surprising that it doesn't appear in The Sims 4. There was an online dating system in The Sims 3 that allowed Sims to create a profile, reply to messages, and meet up with other Sims.

Considering the fact that online dating and dating apps have become so popular in recent years, the fact that the online dating system was removed from the game is a total bummer. Seeing a revamped version added to The Sims 4 in 2020 would be amazing.
