Pokemon is a gaming franchise that seems to have a nearly endless level of popularity. Even with the series recently having celebrated its 25th anniversary, fans are still clamoring for more Pokemon games, cards, and all the accessories that are related to the two. 2022 will see the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the next two mainline games in the series taking players on a journey throughout a region inspired by Spain. As well, fans can also expect to see a new special Charizard card on the way to the Pokemon Trading Card Game.

The new Charizard card is known as "Special Delivery Charizard," and features a rather cutesy design of the Flame Pokemon carrying two delivery bags on its sides. Riding the Charizard is a Pikachu wearing a blue, postman-style hat. The new Pokemon TCG card is being introduced to celebrate the launch of the Pokemon Center in the UK. However, fans outside of the UK shouldn't fear as the "Special Delivery Charizard" card is available to the US and Canada as well.

To receive the unique Charizard card, all fans have to do is sign up with their name and details. Then, they will receive a code that arrives within 12 weeks of a person's data being entered. After that, the card will be eligible with purchases from the Pokemon Center equating to $20 USD or the regional equivalent. This new version of Charizard knows Happy Delivery, Flamethrower, and has 160HP. For most fans, the actual competitive eligibility of this card won't matter, and it is more for the collectible value.

While the Pokemon Company does state that this is a limited time offer, the codes will expire at 23:59 on December 31 2022, giving fans plenty of time from now to get their hands on the "Special Delivery Charizard." Only one code will be given out per customer, though, hopefully meaning scalpers won't be able to claim all the copies of this card. Previously, scalpers have been shown to buy Pokemon cards in bulk, stopping the average customer from getting their hands on them.

While scalping Pokemon cards may seem odd in comparison to buying things like PS5s or graphics cards in bulk to sell them on at a higher price, some cards can have a great amount of value. YouTuber Logan Paul bought a Pokemon card for over $5 million, for example, and wore it on a necklace. He even brought it out as part of his entrance in Wrestlemania 38, again displaying the value of the card.
