The Planet Crafter starts players off with nothing more than a landing pod, which acts as their impromptu headquarters for some time. Players will depend on this unsubstantial vessel for shelter, oxygen, crafting, etc., for the first few hours of their playthrough. However, once they progress, players will have the opportunity to build a base that suits their preferences. This structure will act as the basis for a player's operations and efforts to terraform the world.
