The teaser trailer details a pivotal moment in this sci-fi timeline, the destruction of Anabah. The narration is told from the perspective of a faction of colonizers who come into conflict with another faction. Things clearly do not go well, as the narrators apparently decided to destroy their opponent's homeworld. "That day we ended a planet, a reign, and an era..."
The goal of The Pegasus Expedition is to lead an expedition away from Earth as it faces an unprecedented threat. In the Pegasus Galaxy, the player will take on the challenges of governance over a fleet of settlers as they explore, build, and fight their way to safety. The Pegasus Expedition teaser trailer is presumably just one example of how an expedition could progress.
