Proving that good things come to those who wait - hopefully - the PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 has become one of the most intriguing games in Sony's upcoming library, despite a development schedule that has hit some speedbumps. After stunning gamers with its blend of history and fantasy horror, the developers at Ready of Dawn made the difficult call of delaying the game into 2015.
Having played the game for ourselves, it was clear that the studio was crafting something special (at least visually), even if its delayed release will put it up against plenty of other similarly-delayed powerhouses. Thanks to the newly-branded Video Game Awards, potential players got to see that there is much, much more to The Order than gunplay in the streets of Victorian England.
To be specific, there's also gunplay among the skies of Victorian England. In this case, a gameplay mission (dubbed 'Agamemnon Rising') takes the impressive visuals of the game aboard the Airship Agamemnon. Unfortunately, there is almost no actual gameplay seen in the footage, instead highlighting more of the cinematic action. That won't do much to calm the fears of those who no longer doubt that Ready at Dawn can craft one pretty experience - but remain unsure about their talents when it comes to gameplay.
What do you make of the trailer? Does The Order: 1886 remain an anticipated game for you PS4 owners, or does the lack of extensive gameplay footage have you wondering? Be sure to share your own thoughts, hopes or concerns in the comment. We'll keep you updated if an when more footage is available.
