The Marvels stars have united for some behind-the-scenes fun in an image shared by Brie Larson on social media. Seeing the trio and the film’s director hanging out in a casual setting has warmed the hearts of all fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Larson's social media followers are expressing their excitement at seeing the three actors in action in the upcoming film.

The trio of stars was in the news after an image of a piece of merchandise from The Marvels went viral. But, it seems like Larson was ready with damage control and shared the photograph of the three actors casually spending some time together. Even though there are still a few months before the Captain Marvel sequel releases in theaters, people already seem interested in what’s to come.

Larson's image was first shared on Twitter with the caption “warning: beautiful humans,” followed by a heart hands emoji. The selfie image was clicked by Larson and features Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, and The Marvels director Nia DaCosta. Notebooks, coffee cups, and tote bags are visible in the background, as the four subjects are all smiles. Seeing the director along with the actors who play Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau in The Marvels has left fans gushing over the potential chemistry between them and how it’ll impact the film positively.

The Marvels is a highly anticipated MCU film for the year 2023, and instead of being a direct sequel to Captain Marvel, it will be incorporating three storylines into one project. Towards the end of Disney Plus' Ms. Marvel series, Vellani's Kamala Khan and Larson's Carol Danvers already had a crossover of sorts, with Danvers ending up in Khan's home. The upcoming film will see them continue to swap places, and the characters will have to figure out why it’s happening.

Having crossovers is becoming a common formula in the MCU, with many of the Phase 4 projects bringing in multiple characters in a single project. The Marvels seems to follow in the footsteps of films like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It remains to be seen how the story will progress, but it is known that the film will focus on comedic themes, with the characters trying to understand their connection to each other.

The Marvels is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 28, 2023.
