The Mandalorian has finally returned on Disney Plus with the first episode releasing at the tail end of October, and as expected, its full of characters both new and old, plenty of action, and some awesome Easter Eggs for those in the know.

The season opener of The Mandalorian brought Din Djarin and the Child back to Tatooine where they were searching for a fellow Mandalorian and ended with the bounty hunter face to face with a Krayt dragon. While the episode had plenty to chew on for fans of the extended universe, including Tusken sign language, a small nod to the classic RPG Knights of the Old Republic is one that's been widely discussed on social media.

Joining the likes of Cobb Vanth, some locals, and a group of Tusken Raiders, Djarin defeats the enormous Krayt dragon with some explosives and nearly becoming the beast's lunch. At the end of the episode while everyone is collecting and sharing what's left of the beast, a Tusken Raider finds a sizable pearl, a rare resource that reflects back on a quest in KOTOR where players are tasked to do the same thing.

In the game, the player can gift the pearl to the Raiders, use it to enhance their Lightsaber, or sell it for a boat load of credits. Knights of the Old Republic is seen by many as one of the greatest Star Wars games ever released and has had a cult following since its release in 2003. While the game did see a sequel and a MMO follow-up, many fans are hoping for a remake of the classic Bioware RPG with the game's 20th anniversary drawing close.

Earlier in the year, a widespread petition was made with signatures nearing 13,000. The intent of the petition is to show BioWare the interest fans have in the original game with the hopes that the developer will remake KOTOR with modern graphics, gameplay, and on next gen hardware. Currently BioWare is busy with the development of Dragon Age 4 and retooling the much troubled shooter, Anthem.
