The galaxy far, far away continues to navigate through new adventures and stories with Disney Plus’ very own The Mandalorian. The once-lone bounty hunter reunites with the Force-sensitive Grogu, and Din Djarin must venture to Mandalore to atone, whilst raising his Foundling. This Star Wars live-action show has plenty to love, and The Mandalorian season 3 will be no exception.

There’s a lot that can be expected from the highly anticipated The Mandalorian season 3, and if The Mandalorian season 3 trailer is anything to go by, Star Wars fans will be more than surprised with what awaits Mando and Grogu, as there are plenty of Easter eggs for die-hard Star Wars fans to digest.

8 Grogu Returns

Since the very first episode of The Mandalorian, the identity and mystery around “Baby Yoda” took the internet by storm. The audience had a tearful goodbye to Grogu, as he left to train as Jedi with Luke Skywalker. However, those that are surprised by his return may need to check out The Book of Boba Fett.

Although it’s not a fan favorite, The Book of Boba Fett features integral episodes to The Mandalorian season 3’s plot. This includes the reunion of Grogu and Mando, who along with a new ship, have an entirely new mission to embark on.

7 Carson Teva

A reoccurring character in Din Djarin’s life is the New Republic Starfighter pilot, Carson Teva. In The Mandalorian season 2, Carson Teva was more of a side character, who seemed to just be patrolling the republic-owned space in the galaxy far, far away. However, his appearance in season 3 indicates a more serious and important role.

Teva and Djarin worked together at one point and came to a mutual understanding. It will be interesting to see if the pair develop a unique friendship, as the new republic does not take too kindly to bounty hunters.

6 May The Force Be With You

Another character that frequents Din Djarin’s life is Peli Motto. Peli manages Hangar 3-5 at the Mos Eisley spaceport on everyone’s favorite sand planet, Tatooine. Motto has a very distinct personality, and a true level of honesty and bravery, one that Djarin respects.

Not only is her appearance a surprise for The Mandalorian season 3, but she says the famous quote “May the Force be with you.” This quote is a recognition of the Force and one that seems to come back into resurgence after the destruction of the Empire.

5 Planet Coruscant

It’s no surprise that the capital of the galaxy would feature in The Mandalorian season 3. Coruscant is an important planet in Star Wars and features heavily in the Prequel Trilogy. It’s where all the politics of the galaxy happen, and it will be interesting to see Coruscant at the helm of the New Republic.

What awaits Coruscant is yet unknown. Perhaps audiences will get to see familiar faces, like Leia Organa and Mon Mothma. Or perhaps they'll see a secret organization of Empire sympathizers. Coruscant holds great mystery, and The Mandalorian season 3 may explore that.

4 Anakin’s Order 66 Siege

One of the biggest shocks and heartbreaks in all of Star Wars is Order 66. It’s an event that changed Star Wars and continues to haunt the franchise. It seems that The Mandalorian season 3 will feature more flashbacks to Order 66, as there is a quick scene that shows unknown Jedi knights protecting something or someone in the Jedi Temple.

Considering there was only one former Jedi against all the rest, perhaps audiences will get to see Anakin Skywalker again. Darth Vader’s assault on the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was further explored in Revenge of the Sith and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and hopefully, there is yet another return of the scene with Hayden Christensen.

3 Battle Droids Cantina

b1-series battle droids in the mandalorian

There is a long-standing rule in Star Wars that people just do not respect the poor droids of the universe. The Mos Eisley Cantina hates droids so much that they are effectively banned from entering. However, a shot in The Mandalorian season 3 trailer shows that the droids have made their own cantina, one without organic life forms.

Not only is the idea of a “droid only” cantina perfect for Star Wars, but the fact that there are surviving B1-series battle droids present makes it all the more exciting. These droids were the sworn enemy of the clone army during the Clone Wars and were soon decommissioned. Seeing survivors years after the fall of the Empire is an exciting prospect.

2 Paz Vizsla

Clan Vizsla harbors great importance in the Star Wars mythos. One of the first of this clan, Tarre Vizsla, was the first Mandalorian Jedi and wielded the Darksaber, a unique black-bladed lightsaber. This saber found its way to Pre Vizsla until he was killed by none other than Maul. The only known surviving member of the Vizsla clan is Paz Vizsla, who features once again in The Mandalorian season 3 trailer.

Vizsla is a Mandalorian and follows the Armorer in the new covert The Tribe. Paz’s character has not been fully explored, but what is known is his motivation to take back the Darksaber, and bring the blade back into his clan. Perhaps a rivalry between Djarin and Vizsla is brewing.

1 Clan Eldar

Mandalorians have many clans, but one of the more known ones is Clan Eldar. Their symbol is shown painted on a Mandalorian in The Mandalorian season 3 trailer. Clan Eldar is one of many and featured first in Star Wars: Rebels.

As Din Djarin’s quest takes him to Mandalore, and he further explores his relationship and culture with other Mandalorians, it will be very interesting to see the outlook on life that other clans hold, and Clan Eldar is sure to be one of them.

The Mandalorian Season 3 premiers March 1st on Disney Plus.
