At Nintendo's E3 Direct last June, the publisher released a trailer for its upcoming remake of the classic game The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. The E3 preview showcased the game's visual overhaul and some new gameplay mechanics. Now, Nintendo just released a new trailer ahead of the game's release next week.

The latest preview provides a general overview of what players can expect on The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. While the contents of the trailer won't be a surprise to those who have played the original, it provides a convenient introduction to players who are unfamiliar with the upcoming remake.

The trailer showcases some interesting features such as the enemies and characters that players would encounter in Link's Awakening. The game will put players in control of Link as he explores a re-imagined Koholint Island, where players can collect instruments to summon the Wind Fish and find a way home. The upcoming Switch remake will also include several mini-games, which is where some Legend of Zelda amiibo figures will prove helpful.

Given that the original Link's Awakening was released back in the '90s the latest overview trailer serves as a much-needed refresher for players who have forgotten what the two-decade-old game is about. Luckily, players won't have to wait for too long to explore Koholint Island themselves, given that the game is set to launch next week.

Meanwhile, some players raised their concerns on whether Link's Awakening will feature cloud saves. The source of the concern stemmed from a Link's Awakening listing that contained confusing information implying that the game won't support cloud saves. However, the matter was put into rest when a fan contacted a Nintendo Support representative, who clarified that Link's Awakening will support the cloud save feature.

For players who are interested in grabbing a Link's Awakening, Nintendo is offering a special version of the game called, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening: Dreamer Edition. This collector's edition is priced at $69.99 and will include a Dreamer art book that features the concept art for the upcoming Switch game.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is set to release on September 20, 2019, exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.
