The Last of Us Episode 7 may be review bombed for similar reasons that Episode 3 was, assuming it covers the Left Behind DLC as its title suggests. The Last of Us HBO series has been a smash hit so far, with no time wasted in renewing it for a second season as the audience grows from one week to the next. While The Last of Us TV series has earned near-universal acclaim from critics, some viewers have taken issue with the adaptation, particularly Episode 3 "Long, Long Time."

THIS ARTICLE WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE LAST OF US TV SERIES AS WELL AS THE VIDEO GAMESThe Last of Us Episode 3 put Joel and Ellie's post-apocalyptic journey on the back-burner a bit to focus on the life of survivalist Bill and his partner Frank. In a massive departure from The Last of Us game, viewers were given an in-depth look at Bill and Frank's relationship, showing how the two met, fell in love, and ultimately died together. Some fans were upset that they didn't get to see Bella Ramsey's Ellie interact with Nick Offerman's Bill as the characters had some entertaining conversations in the video game, but otherwise many applauded the diversion from the source material.

Others were not happy about The Last of Us Episode 3 depicting a homosexual relationship, bombarding the episode's IMDB page with negative reviews to bring its user score down. Bill and Frank are not the only homosexual characters in The Last of Us franchise, though, and it's highly likely that a future episode will put the spotlight on another homosexual relationship, putting it at risk of being review bombed as well.

Ellie and Riley

It's believed that Episode 7 of The Last of Us TV series will be titled "Left Behind," sharing its name with The Last of Us' standalone story DLC. Left Behind explores the relationship between Ellie and Riley, which includes the two sharing a kiss. Back when Left Behind first released, the decision to make Ellie a lesbian proved to be a controversial one, and unfortunately, it's highly likely that there will be a similar reaction when the TV series gets to the same point.

Assuming "Left Behind" does adapt the DLC, The Last of Us fans should be introduced to Storm Reid's interpretation of Riley with Episode 7 on February 26, unless she makes an appearance in a flashback before then. It will be interesting to see how The Last of Us TV series handles the girls' relationship, and hopefully, Episode 7 avoids running into the same kind of review bombing efforts that Episode 3 has had to deal with.

The Last of Us airs Sunday nights on HBO.
