A gamer has shown off their incredible clicker mask, recreating the iconic enemy from The Last of Us. Although The Last of Us features plenty of different enemy types, there's no doubt that the clicker is the most recognizable to the average player.
Gamers have had a massively renewed interest in The Last of Us recently. The success of the HBO adaptation brought a new level of attention to the franchise, with even casual gamers all of a sudden interested in The Last of Us. It seemed as though a PC port of the game was arriving at the perfect time to capitalize. However, a slew of performance issues meant the PC port of The Last of Us was review bombed, with many unhappy at the quality upon release. To Naughty Dog's credit, the developer has taken the time post-launch to continue to update the game, even if it's not yet exactly where it needs to be.
Redditor evelynesavard showed off the brilliant creation, which looks exactly like a clicker from The Last of Us. The detail featured in the piece is so vivid that it looks like it has come directly from the set of The Last of Us TV series. Many of the users in the thread were curious how evelynesavard is able to see out of the mask, but they've even thought of that. According to the poster, the mask has a hole between the mushrooms which means they're able to see perfectly fine.
Everyone agreed in the thread that the Last of Us creation was pretty harrowing, which is the biggest compliment that can be leveled at it. However, there was one detail that many felt could be improved. The teeth are rather white on this clicker, with one user claiming the "clicker tooth whitening program must be good." Even the original poster agreed with everyone's opinion. It would be amazing if they decided to fix it and show it off again in the future.
It's uncertain where gamers' next fix of The Last of Us will come from. The HBO adaptation has yet to begin filming for Season 2, taking all the time needed to get it right. Meanwhile, Naughty Dog has remained coy about the potential of The Last of Us Part 3, leading many to believe it is still some time away. Hopefully by the time a sequel is finally released, the PC port of the original game is finally in a much better place.
