A The Last of Us fan and professional cake decorator created an impressive and incredibly realistic Clicker cake. One of The Last of Us' special infected types, Clickers are one of, if not the most iconic enemies in the series. They've been the subject of numerous fan projects over the years, some of them quite impressive and shockingly realistic. However, most of those were not edible.

The Last of Us launched in 2013 as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. It was followed by The Last of Us Part 2 in 2020, with a remake launching in 2022. The Last of Us also has an HBO adaptation five episodes into its first season. The series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world after a mutant strain of the parasitic Cordyceps fungus started infecting humans and turning them into zombie-like creatures. Funnily enough, the fungus spores first started infecting humans through contaminated flour, which makes the clicker cake weirdly appropriate.

Cake decorator Ben Cullen, also known as thebakeking on TikTok and Instagram, recently created an impressive cake based on The Last of Us' Clickers. Cullen previously uploaded a video showing the process he used to assemble an edible version of one of the Last of Us' most horrific monsters. Recently, Cullen uploaded a second video where he cuts a slice of the impressive pastry, showing off its appetizing insides and unnerving exterior.

Titled "Only way to Kill a Clicker," the video opens with Cullen theatrically stabbing the edible piece of The Last of Us fan art in the head with a kitchen knife. He follows through before cutting out a good-sized slice of artificial flesh and fungus. Cullen then holds the Clicker wedge up to the camera, showing off the multi-layered cake inside its cranium. He then turns it around so viewers can get a good look at the fine detailing on the fungal "flower" and part of the Clicker's jaw.

Someone who only saw the second video might not realize they were looking at a cake until Cullen starts cutting. At first glance, it looks more like a Hollywood-quality mask of one of The Last of Us' Clickers than something a person might be able to eat. However, as most of the TikTok comments indicate, it's a particularly brave The Last of Us fan who would put this impressive cake in their mouth. And while that would be an insult for most cakes, in this instance, it seems to be mission accomplished.

The Last of Us Part 1 is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
