Now, a little over a week later, Sony has identified the "primary individuals" who are responsible for the big Last of Us 2 leaks that have been plaguing the Internet.
Previously, it was rumored that The Last of Us 2 leaks were due to disgruntled Naughty Dog employees who were upset about the company's crunch culture or other issues. However, it appears as though those rumors were unfounded. According to Sony, the people responsible for leaking The Last of Us 2 spoilers are not affiliated with Naughty Dog or Sony. As to who The Last of Us 2 leakers are, Sony has so far declined to reveal any additional information, as the investigation is ongoing.
The Last of Us 2 spoilers leaking online was a heartbreaking moment for the Naughty Dog team, as well as fans of the franchise. They effectively dampened seven years of expectations, ruining the experience for people who were greatly looking forward to The Last of Us 2.
