In the time since it released, The Last of Us 2 fans have shared numerous pieces of stunning fan art. The latest piece is particularly unique, as it sees Ellie from The Last of Us 2 drawn in a style resembling a Fortnite loading screen.

While it remains to be seen if a Fortnite crossover with The Last of Us will ever become a reality, it would likely include a loading screen of some kind if it did. Usually, whenever a crossover character is added, their bundle will include a special loading screen. This image features the character and a colorful art style, with loading screens released for everyone from Rick and Morty’s Rick to Spider-Man. If Ellie ever makes her way to the game, a stunning piece of art from lelastslayer would make a perfect fit for the character’s loading screen.

Ellie can be seen at the bottom of the beautiful art piece from lelastslayer, drawn in a unique-but-detailed style. Her tattoo can be seen clearly, as can her backpack and the blue overshirt she wears throughout a good chunk of the sequel’s story. Ellie can be seen holding her bow in one hand and an arrow in the other, with blood seemingly coming off the tip of the arrow and making the black and red border that outlines the stunning artwork. A red target can be seen on top of an enemy, with Ellie clearly lining up a kill.

With the red lines simulating movement and a standout color palette, this piece is different from all the Ellie art that has come before it. While some comic book-like The Last of Us 2 art has been shared, it looks nothing like this, and neither do the many realistic pieces that have been posted online. Not only has the post received over 1,300 upvotes and plenty of supportive comments, but fans were quick to point out the hidden Among Us crew mate inside the target symbol and make comparisons to other games.

It was Krounnyz that made the connection to Fortnite, with the commenter fooled into believing the post was an official teaser that Ellie was coming to the battle royale title. Another Redditor named Bartman326 compared the piece to a Smash Bros. character reveal poster. One commenter named FauxMango asked for an Abby piece in the same style, and fortunately, lelastslayer is considering making it. As such, fans of this art should keep an eye on their profile if they want a chance to see how their take on Abby would look.

With The Last of Us Factions in the works and the HBO series coming closer to releasing, fans of the franchise will have plenty more content to enjoy soon. As such, talented artists will have more material to use when creating gorgeous pieces like this one.

The Last of Us 2 is available now on PS4.
