SNK's The King of Fighters Allstar mobile game is collaborating with Bandai Namco's Soul Calibur series, adding in characters from the sixth entry as playable characters. For the uninitiated, The King Of Fighters Allstar is an action RPG mobile game developed by both SNK and South Korean developer Netmarble that first released in 2018. While it includes many playable characters across SNK's properties, like Mai Shiranui, Terry Bogard, and Kyo Kusanagi, All Star occasionally hosts crossover events adding in special new content.

There have been plenty of these limited-time events for the game, including notable fighting game franchise such as Dead or Alive, Guilty Gear, Tekken, and even a Street Fighter collaboration last year. Non-gaming crossovers for the game have also been present, where KOF Allstar saw WWE stars being added as playable characters like The Undertaker, John Cena, and The Rock. Another one of Bandai Namco's fighting game franchises is getting playable guest characters later this month, with said fighters hailing from the Soul Calibur series.

In a new video posted to the game's official page, it starts with a book opening and showing the variety of fighters, much like the framing device of Soul Calibur. Once the crossover logo shows off, it reveals that several fan-favorite characters are being added, with two of them being special Holiday themed variants as well. These include Cassandra Alexandra, the femme fatale Ivy Valentine, Ninja assassin Taki, and Seong Mi-na. Ivy will be getting a stylish Aristocrat Catsuit variant, along with Cassandra getting a War Maiden variant, and the event is starting on December 22.

The trailer gives a brief look into some of the characters and their gameplay in King of Fighters Allstar, such as their movesets and special attacks that they can execute. Some of these moves are ripped straight from their incarnations in Soul Calibur 6, with their animations looking exactly the same. The video ends with a very adorable piece of collaboration art, where the ladies of both games and Chang are celebrating the Christmas holidays, complete with turkey, cake, and costumes.

With this collaboration event, players will be getting some in-game gifts to celebrate the occasion. For example, players can get the chance to obtain Ivy's catsuit EX Collaboration variant for free, as well as login bonuses during a certain period consisting of tickets for free summons. There is also a special Dream Match Collaboration event, along with a story event that involves some of these fan favorite Soul Calibur characters.

The King of Fighters Allstar is available now on Android and iOS mobile devices, with a PC version in beta.
