One of the staples of the Bethesda E3 presentation for the last few years has been a lineup of games that are actually arriving in the very near future. In a break from that tradition, Bethesda closed this year's show with surprise reveals of both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6.

Bethesda said that Starfield was next in the line and it sounded like The Elder Scrolls 6 may not be coming until after that. If that's the case, it's possible that The Elder Scrolls 6 could still be a number of years away.

Here's a look at the official teaser and its description...

"Currently in pre-production at Bethesda Game Studios, the acclaimed developers of Skyrim and Fallout 4. The highly-anticipated next chapter in the iconic The Elder Scrolls series."

At this point, there are no official details about the game's plot, setting, or release window. Considering how early The Elder Scrolls 6 may be in development, it seems unrealistic to expect more details anytime soon. We'd bet on learning more about this project next year at E3 2019.

Check back throughout the week for more updates on all of the biggest news from E3 2018.

The Elder Scrolls 6 does not currently have a confirmed release window or list of platforms.
