Bethesda Softworks and id Software's Doom Eternal first launched last year. Lately, a number of updates and additions to Doom Eternal on current and next-generation systems have been implemented. But apart from its video game developments, Doom Eternal's latest collaboration has been announced with Good Smile Company, a manufacturer that specializes in hobby products, Nendoroid figures, and figma figures.

Figma action-figures emphasize articulation without sacrificing the beautification or faithful depiction of the characters that are represented. Figma products are commonly associated to characters from Japanese anime franchises. However, products from popular American culture are also designed and produced. As reported by Nintendo Soup, production is underway on a new figma figure inspired by Doom Eternal.

Few minor details have been shared by the Good Smile Company about a newly announced figma figure of Doom Eternal's Doom Slayer. An image of the figure is depicted, demonstrating the figma's intricate craftsmanship of the Doom Slayer's Praetor armor. The figure will allow for model articulation, meaning that fans may enjoy posing the Doom Slayer in a variety of ways. Good Smile Company's announcement notes little else, such as when fans may expect a pre-order date or release window for the figma figure.

Doom Eternal's Doom Slayer figma figure is ultimately a celebration of the character, and a celebration of Doom Eternal. Good Smile Company has previously released other Doom merchandise and products, such as a Nendoroid Doom Slayer figurine from Doom Eternal, which included a Super Shotgun and Crucible Blade. Fans are speculating as to what the Doom Slayer figma's pre-order bonuses may contain, with some fans anticipating that other iconic weapons from Doom Eternal may be provided as standard accessories to the figure.

Fine print in Good Smile Company's announcement notes that the "final product may vary", so fans are free to speculate about what unannounced features may be included. McFarlane Toys' Doom Slayer action-figure received criticism for its lack of articulation. But it seems fans may have that issue resolved with Good Smile Company's upcoming figma figure. Until Good Smile Company announces more information about the figure, Doom Eternal fans may look forward to and enjoy the in-game updates that have been recently added.

Doom Eternal recently received next-generation ports for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, with the unfortunate footnote of players being unable to transfer Doom Eternal's save data from current-generation hardware. While Doom Eternal's Invasion Mode will no longer be offered, fans may still look forward to a single-player Horde Mode in the future.

Doom Eternal is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
