As part of its press event at E3 2019, Ubisoft updated audiences on its upcoming movie The Division. Ubisoft Motion Pictures is now working with Netflix to make the video game adaption, meaning the movie will be available on the popular streaming service when it releases.

Ubisoft released the details of this new partnership amid a variety of The Division announcements during its press conference. Creative Director at Red Storm, Terry Spier, took the stage to dish on what's coming to the sequel, laying out details on the first three episodes of the game's post-launch content.

Before leaving, Spier made mention of recent developments on The Division movie, beginning by revealing Jessica Chastain will star in the film alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, who was promoted as being a part of the project since the film was announced years back. While audiences now know where they can plan to watch the film, there has been no mention yet of when that might happen; audiences didn't even get a release year. Spier promised more information at a later date.

As for the post-launch content coming to The Division 2, audiences got to see brief previews of the settings of both Episode 1 and 2. But for Episode 3, Ubisoft showed a cinematic teaser trailer, primarily to surprise players with the reveal of a special location for that piece of content. While the sequel is set in Washington, D.C., the trailer showed the characters on Coney Island. This means that Episode 3 will take players back to New York, the setting of the first DivisionTheir mission, according to the trailer, will be centered around a manhunt for someone once close to the group.

Don't expect this jaunt to the over to The Big Apple anytime soon, however. There are still two episodes that need to release before this portion of Year 1 post-launch content is available.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
