The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me is a horror title that is filled to the brim with secrets. With all those hidden items comes a big pile of trophies or achievements. Like many similar games, The Devil in Me has a total of 30 achievements and 31 trophies.
Anyone playing on Steam or Xbox will have 30 awards to gather to 100% this horror hotel game, and players on PlayStation will get one additional trophy for completing all the other trophies. If anyone out there is looking to complete this game, they may need a little help figuring out all the trophies and how to get them.
Story Achievements and Trophies
Story achievements are awards that players will earn just by playing the game. There aren't too many in The Devil in Me; here are the three players are guaranteed to get if they just complete a solo play-through.
- Murder Castle - Completed the prologue.
- Hope You Enjoyed Your Stay - Completed the solo story.
- 0451 - During Blackout, Jamie figures out the code in the maintenance room to get to The Devil in Me's first fusebox puzzle.
There are also a handful of achievements that players will earn if they manage to keep certain characters alive for long enough. These are:
- Phoenix - Charlie survives in The Devil in Me's furnace in the Inferno chapter.
- Shattering Expectations - Players can get this by having the glass trap go toward whoever has the screwdriver, allowing both Jamie and Kate to live.
- Hark! - If Mark survives to the end, he must be the one to get the lighthouse working.
- Ignited - Jamie has to chose to save Erin in Breathless to save both Erin and Kate.
- Shocking - Fix all three fuse boxes as Jamie.
Story Possibility Trophies/ Achievements
All these trophies and achievements listed here are options that players can either choose to do or must fail a QTE to achieve. In order to get them all, players will have to replay a few of the scenes and get more gruesome video game deaths on their hands.
- Until Death Do Us Part 2 - In the prologue, Marie will need to choose to get out of the bath, and so Jeff and Marie can watch each other die.
- Guilty - If Erin convinces Mark that Charlie is working with the killer outside the lighthouse, Charlie will die and earn players this award.
- Award-Worthy - If Kate falls for Du'Met trap in Lighthouse instead of investigating the door. This only works if just she and Mark survive.
- The Cycle Continues - Mark agrees to help the killer in exchange for Kate's life.
- Lend Me A Hand? - Charlie's hand is crushed during the wall cutscene; this requires players to fail the QTE.
- Sparks - In one of the first chapters, Erin will have the opportunity to pull away from Jamie or to lean in to kiss her. If players choose to lean in, it will begin a romance between The Devil in Me's Jamie and Erin, and players will earn this trophy.
- Can You Pet The Dog? - Connie the Dog survives.
- Rekindled - Kate and Mark's relationship has improved to the point that they get back together at the end.
- Extinguished - Jamie chooses to sacrifice herself in the glass trap instead of pressing the reverse button.
- Toasty - Charlie compliments all the crew members at dinner, taking control of the conversation and getting everyone back on board with the plan.
Trophies and Achievements for Endings
There are three trophies that can be earned just by getting a certain ending. There are six total endings, but only three of these have trophies or achievements associated with them.
- Happy Ending - Everyone survives in The Devil in Me.
- Unhappy Ending - Nobody survives
- Happier Ending - Connie the Dog survives.
Collectibles Achievements and Trophies
In order to finish these, players will need to complete their collections of evidence, secrets, business cards, and obol. If players want to scour every corner of the murder house, they can probably get most of these collectible awards on the first playthrough.
- Handy - Got all inventory items
- Investigator - Find the silver-framed premonition photo that shows a scene from the upcoming sci-fi horror game Directive 8020.
- Camera Shy - Find all 6 black-framed premonition pictures.
- Photogenic - Find all 6 white-framed premonition pictures.
- Man of Many Interests - Find the locations of all five business cards.
- Collector - Find all 50 evidence secrets. This cannot happen in one playthrough; two evidence pieces are only found in the Curator's Cut.
- I Like Money - Collect 200 total obol coins in The Devil in Me.
- Crime Scene Photographer - Take photos of all of Mark's photo opportunities.
- Say Cheese! - Take a photo of all the crew members with Mark's camera.
