The Cycle: Frontier is an all-new first-person shooter that combines player vs environment with player vs player to make a world full of action and quests for players to get involved in. With over twenty weapons to choose from, it's no surprise that a player may be confused about what is best.
Yager Development hopes to give players more freedom to explore in this free-to-play title, and the weapons mimic exactly that. With the freedom to decide from a variety of playstyles as well as ways to modify these weapons to fit better with the purposes intended for them, only a few can be seen as the best weapons.
10 The Dependable Scarab Pistol
Not all the best weapons need to be expensive or fancy looking, as the Scarab Pistol is a weapon choice that is sure to stay with the player for a long time while playing The Cycle: Frontier. This pistol fires a three-burst shot that is sure to tackle lightly armored enemies easily from a close range.
It may not be as useful against stronger foes, but as a starting weapon that requires little ammo, and takes hardly any space, it's a great choice for dealing with minor discrepancies.
9 Bulldogs Have A Brutal Bite
Before getting onto the bigger guns, the Bulldog is a pistol that packs an even greater punch than many other weapons available. Firing shotgun shells, this tiny pistol delivers brutal damage, though it needs to be up close.
This lack of range may be an issue, but as a secondary weapon, it is less likely that a player will be relying on it for every battle and only for those up-close skirmishes. This also negates any aiming issues, as a player should be close enough that they never miss.
8 Quick And Nimble With The KM-9 'Scrapper'
The SMG, favored by the Korolev faction, is not a weapon to be judged for its small size. This weapon is fondly used by players due to its insanely high damage per second that allows it to melt even the hardest of enemies through its firing of adrenite crystals.
There are a couple of downsides to this weapon, however, as its small stature does mean it can only carry so many rounds in a magazine, meaning it needs to be reloaded far more consistently than others.
7 The Manticore Causes Close To Mid-Range Mayhem
Known commonly in the world of The Cycle: Frontier for its militaristic use, The Manticore assault rifle can pack a punch when used from both mid-range and up close. It hits its foes for a decent amount of damage while also being compact and lightweight.
This does mean that it ranks lower than other assault rifles, which can perform much better from a further range. However, the Manticore is still a great choice for players looking for a quick and easy gun that can assault opponents from a fair range.
6 Have Versatility And Range While Using The KBR Longshot
As any good battle rifle should, the KBR Longshot is adored by players for its powerful damage and great accuracy. It's a good idea for any player that is looking for a weapon that can still be lethal from a distance.
Although powerful, it still rates lower than other heavier rifles in its category due to lacking as much damage. Though compared to these, the Longshot's higher rate of fire, as well as larger magazine, makes it far more accessible to players looking for versatility in their combat.
5 Become Skilled With The Hammer
A pistol with a fair amount of range on it, the Hammer dreams to one day become a sniper rifle, though it may never actually get that far. Players that consider themselves to be skilled when it comes to aiming will want to test their luck with this Korolev pistol.
On a direct hit, the Hammer can cause 100 damage, which is less than the majority of sniper rifles, but that doesn't stop it from being a viable option. Its lightweight design and magazine can hold 8 bullets before reloading, making it a fair option for those looking for a long-range secondary.
4 The Fast-Firing PKR Maelstrom
What's better than a shotgun? A shotgun that can shoot quickly. The PKR Maelstrom is not only one of the fastest shotguns in the game but also one of the strongest. It's only beaten by the Shattergun, which would be in its place right now if it wasn't for how much it costs to possess.
As the cheaper option that works just as well as that legendary gun, it is of no surprise that players are using the PKR Maelstrom when facing their opponents in close-range and quick combat.
3 Competitive Burst Fire Accuracy Of The Phasic Lancer
A burst fire battle rifle with a personality, players that are running the Phasic Lancer are usually looking for combat. Wielding this weapon is sure to bring a player authority over the battlefield, especially as it dominates both in mid-range and close combat.
This rifle can deal with pretty much anything in its path, which is why it ranks not only so highly on this list, but also at the faction level of Osiris. Therefore, players will require a faction level of 3 to equip this three-shot burst weapon.
2 Affordable Long-Range C-32
Similar to the Scarab Pistol that opened this ranking, the C-32 is a sniper rifle that many players will have access to from the start of the game. It has the capability to easily melt lightly armored foes from a far distance, though it will face struggles when it comes to more difficult enemies.
Although cheaper than your high-end sniper rifles, it still holds its own pretty well and will be a weapon that many players will find themselves relying on for a long time, even if it's a little slow.
1 The Basilisk Is Expensive But Worth It
Overall, from all the fast-paced weapons available to the hard-hitting pistols, the best weapon available to players in The Cycle: Frontier is the much-loved Basilisk Sniper Rifle. Its long-range capability as well as its fast reload speed means players can pick off their opponents from a distance with ease.
Although it may not look as if it does as much damage as other sniper rifles available, the Basilisk is the only hit scan weapon available to players. This means they do not need to worry about bullet drop, as soon as an enemy is aimed at they are as good as gone.
The Cycle: Frontier is available now for PC.
