Ubisoft's The Crew 2 has received a new story trailer for its latest upcoming episode. The new episode for Season 2, titled "The Game," is set to arrive later on this week, and will have players competing in action-packed stunt shows across multiple courses and locations.

Released in 2018 and developed by the Ivory Tower, The Crew 2 is an open-world racing game featuring a persistent environment. The game's map is a scaled-down version of the United States, and gives players the ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, boats, and airplanes. Maintaining a fanbase three years after its release, The Crew 2 was selected as a PlayStation Now offering earlier this year.

Posted to publisher Ubisoft's official YouTube channel, the roughly minute-long story trailer is filled to the brim with action shots and flashy text. A three-second countdown is interspersed with text about the return of The Wildest Stunt-Show, one of The Crew 2's most popular in-game events. The cars take off, flying around corners and through Mario Kart-like jumps. The stunt show is being put on by Motorflix, the fictional television production company established by the game last November. The trailer promises to reunite the world's best stunt drivers on the "craziest" playgrounds to make motorsports history.

As the case with other seasons has been, The Game will likely launch alongside a variety of yet-to-be revealed content. This new The Crew 2 content will have to suffice for players into open-world action sports games, as Ubisoft's highly anticipated MMO Riders Republic has been delayed to an unspecified date in 2021.

The Crew 2 is available for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
