The Boys season 4 is still shooting, but that won’t stop the higher-ups at Vought International from pretending things are running smoother than they are, which is the message Ashley wants to get across in this teaser shared by actor Antony Starr.
The Boys season 3 ended last summer, and Vought is in for a big shake-up after a dramatic season finale that saw Homelander's popularity rise as his mind unravels. Now, he calls all the shots at the company. However, while some of its stars have given updates about their time on set and concluding their roles, The Boys: Gen V is likely to land on Amazon Prime Video before the main series' next chapter.
Never mind that, because in an Instagram Reel posted by Starr (@toni.starr), Vought's puppet CEO Ashley Barrett explains some exciting numbers for shareholders, pointing to massive growth across all sectors. More importantly, Ashley says that the reconstruction of Vought Tower is going better than expected and that The Seven are looking into options on how they will fill the two vacant spots left by Queen Maeve and Starlight. Overall, it’s not hard to imagine this presentation making it into The Boys season 4.
It bears saying that since the series went on break, Vought's real-life social media has been on fire. The Boys' accounts post satire videos and jokes at the expense of other media companies and additional footage from some of the show’s fictional content. This clip also takes care of some setup work, as Black Noir's comeback in The Boys season 4 is a guarantee.
As usual, The Boys' social media activity is on point, and it’s hard not to laugh at headlines calling Noir's appearance a “gut punch” to skeptics. Nevertheless, the message is clear: Vought will continue to be a force to be reckoned with, now amassing more political power than ever. One thing to keep in mind is Ashley throwing some shade at Stan Edgar, whose future involvement in the show remains unclear despite hints from Giancarlo Esposito.
The Boys has teased which supes could take over Maeve and Annie's vacant roles in The Seven, yet knowing showrunner Eric Kripke, maybe it’s best not to make any assumptions.
