In an open world RPG like Red Dead Redemption 2, it seems like there's a never-ending list of things to do. Players can steal horses, rob people on a train, jump into a game of Five Finger Filet, go hunting, chase down dangerous criminals; it's an exhausting list. With all the possibilities, some players suffer from choice fatigue and would rather just pose Arthur Morgan or John Marston in front of a nice sunset and take a picture. Some incredible images have been captured in RDR2's photo mode, and apparently actor Jack Quaid from the The Boys TV show has caught the photo mode bug.

In The Boys, Quaid plays Hugh "Hughie" Campbell Jr., a civilian who becomes a member of the The Boys after his girlfriend is killed by a member of a powerful superhero team. Hughie is initially a normal guy, but his girlfriend's death fills him with anger and sends him on the path of revenge. There's a lot of death and revenge in Red Dead Redemption 2 as well, and although Quaid has surely had to end a few lives to get through the main storyline, he also likes to take a break from all the killing to create pictures in photo mode.

This is Quaid's second time playing through Red Dead Redemption 2, and he was busy playing around in the game's photo mode this past weekend. On March 27, Quaid created a photo in the game and shared it on Twitter with the PS4share hashtag, a thread where PS4 players from all over the world share photos and videos they've taken of PS4 games. It's clear that after this first picture was taken, Quaid got hooked on the photo mode and proceeded to post photo after photo to Twitter.

What started out as an update post quickly devolved into an obsession. Quaid has now posted eight Red Dead Redemption 2 photos to Twitter, with his last two posted just yesterday. Looking at his tweets, it's clear he's been experimenting with filters and likes to take photos of some of the humans in RDR2. One of his most realistic pictures is of a farmer beneath some trees. Besides his mustache, the farmer looks close to a real human. This picture even received a sly remark from Roger Clark, the actor behind RDR2 antihero Arthur Morgan.

Red Dead Redemption 2 players are still loving the game's photo mode years after its release, and it's a testament to just how good it is. One RDR2 player even remade Red Dead Redemption's cover art using the photo mode in RDR2, and the result is pretty accurate. But RDR2 doesn't have the market cornered on great photo modes. There are also some great photo modes in other more recent games, like Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk 2077.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
