The Seven in The Boys is supposed to be the dysfunctional and grounded version of the Justice League. The series has proven time and again the implications of unstoppable beings running around without much repercussion. So it only makes sense for The Boys to focus on the Seven. Still, that doesn't mean there are no threats from Supes outside of the twisted Justice League parody.

As it is right now, the lore in The Boys (season 3) is keeping up well with the graphic novel; newer faces have been introduced. Some of the "new old" Supes are quite terrifying. A few of them even rival Homelander when it comes to powers, so he's not really that unstoppable anymore depending on where the series takes itself. These Supes might just give the Seven a run for their money.

This article's cut-off point is Season 3, Episode 4.

7 Soldier Boy

The Boys Jensen Ackles Soldier Boy
  • Affiliation: Payback (former), Russian military
  • Main powers: Superhuman capabilities, master combatant

Jensen Ackles introduced himself as Soldier Boy with quite an explosion. He's the Captain America parody and has always wanted to be a part of the Seven, but nevertheless thrived in his own group, Payback. In both the graphic novel and the show, Soldier Boy has been established as nearly as strong as Homelander.

Queen Maeve confirms this herself after she visited Butcher. It's also worth noting that Soldier Boy has super speed as well, which is also close to Homelander's. In fact, if the two were to go toe-to-toe, Soldier Boy could have a winning shot since he seems to be better at combat. Now that he's a Russian experiment that can erase Compound V powers, then all bets are off. Right now, he's quite possibly one of the most powerful Supes in The Boys.

6 Laser Baby

  • Affiliation: Vought
  • Main powers: Laser

As some kind of morbid joke, back in season 2, William Butcher grabbed an incubated Supe baby and weaponized it. It went on to become known in the fandom as Laser Baby. The wee devil just shoots a powerful blue laser from its eyes. Such a concentrated beam of death can cut most things in half.

With Laser Baby barely having any form of training or physical development, then it's safe to assume that it will become even more powerful growing up. That laser vision looks like it could rival Homelander's in terms of strength and intensity. Plus it's blue.

5 Kimiko/The Female

The Boys Kimiko Miyashiro aka The Female
  • Affiliation: The Boys, CIA
  • Main powers: Superhuman capabilities, regenerative factor

For a long time, Kimiko has been The Boys' "gun" since she's the only one on the team with permanent Compound V powers. However, Soldier Boy with his newfound BCL Red blast has seemingly nullified Kimiko and, until further notice, she's supposedly back to being a normal human.

Prior to that, however, Kimiko was worth an army. No conventional human weapon (that could be wielded with hands) could stop her thanks to her rapid healing and regeneration. She also has the full suite of superhuman abilities minus flight. Even if she doesn't get her permanent powers back, huffing up a bit of temporary Compound V might just revert her back to her former self. In any case, that gives her more agency.

4 Nadia/Victoria Neuman

  • Affiliation: Vought
  • Main powers: Molecular combustion, superhuman capabilities

Victoria Neuman finally revealed her true colors in season 3 after a season 2 finale cliffhanger. She's Stan Edgar's not-so-secret weapon against a rogue Seven. That didn't fare so well. Even so, one cannot deny just how impressive Neuman's set of powers are relative to the lore.

She can make things explode just by looking at them. Essentially, such powers could turn Neuman into one of the most effective assassins in The Boys. She usually just uses her best powers to blow up human heads like water balloons, but one can't deny that her ability is pretty mindblowing.

3 Big Game

big game the boys
  • Affiliation: Teenage Kix (former)
  • Main powers: Super strength, super durability

Big Game was sadly just mentioned back in season 1; also, only blurry surveillance camera footage of him appears in the series. That was a wasted opportunity for the show since apparently, Big Game was one of the most impressive Supes back in his heyday. He used to be part of Teenage Kix, a parody of the Teen Titans.

Big Game has since been reduced to a moping and coping version of his former self. When he was in shape, though, Big Game could easily lift 500 tons of mass. On top of that, Big Game was also supposedly immune to all kinds of damage, similar to Homelander's invulnerability. If anything, he's probably one of the few people who could trade blows with Homelander.

2 Cindy

the boys cindy
  • Affiliation: None
  • Main powers: Telekinesis, superhuman durability

It's not clear what the series plans to do with Cindy. She was first introduced back in season 2 as an imprisoned Supe in a secret asylum reserved for rejects. Cindy was one of the most problematic ones in the asylum; she has telekinesis, which allows her to crush thick metal objects and even make people explode.

Such tremendous power was then coupled with super durability; gunshots might as well be spit for Cindy's skin. Cindy could even withstand Stormfront's lightning. If her character was fleshed out more and developed further, she likely could become godlike, similar to Homelander. At the moment, she's probably a fugitive on the run from Vought.

1 Ryan Butcher

ryan-butcher-the-boys-season-3
  • Affiliation: CIA, The Boys
  • Main powers: Everything Homelander has

Ryan is the first natural-born Supe in The Boys and already, it looks like it's turning into a major advantage for him. At such a young age, Ryan appears to already have all of Homelander's capabilities, but with more restraint since he was raised by better people.

As it is, Ryan probably could grow up to defeat Homelander on his own (assuming Butcher doesn't do it first on the show). After all, it seems he's the only person Homelander currently fears. At the moment, Ryan is still developing as a human being first under the watchful hands of the CIA and The Boys, which isn't much in the way of parental upbringing. But he'll be fine as long as he doesn't turn out the same as Homelander psychologically.
