DC Fandome keeps The Batman hype going with a teaser that also honors past actors who portrayed The Dark Knight. Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kimmer, George Clooney, Christain Bale, Ben Affleck, and now Robert Pattinson have all taken up the mantle as the Caped Crusader.

The DC Fandome teaser celebrates the live-action history of Batman through multiple DC films, which increases the anticipation for Pattinson's portrayal of the brooding hero. Pattinson is no stranger to having dark roles, and The Batman will be no different for the actor.

Pattinson's portrayal has been teased in the trailer(s) that have been released so far. Fans also got a peek at Penguin and the Riddler in the first trailer. It ended with a brutal fight scene in which Batman took down an assailant without holding back. Fans are keen to point out that this is the Caped Crusader's first few years of taking on the mantle, so he's going to be younger, angry, and brutal. The new DC Fandome teaser ends with the titles of each Batman film and information on when fans can expect to see the new Batman film in theaters. Fans should anticipate a 2022 release, as it's currently slated for March of next year. It may, however, be moved early or later depending on how post-production goes, which can be a whole task in itself.

The upcoming DC Fandome event will follow the virtual convention of the same name that happened last year during the pandemic. The event serves to give fans a fresh new look at all of the upcoming DC projects, including video games, movies, television shows, and of, course, comic books. The Batman was teased to be getting new footage at this year's DC Fandome, although right now it has many people's attention without really showing too much at all.

The Batman was hit with halts due to the pandemic, so here's to hoping that the film comes out well. Director Matt Reeves has a very credible history of delivering solid movies, so many are expecting this to continue with the upcoming superhero film, especially considering the fact that it's being taken as its own project.

The Batman will be in theaters on March 4th, 2022.
