As far as cyberpunk-themed games go, many have made their way into the hearts of fans and cemented their place in video game history. One such game called The Ascent is a recently released indie title with triple-A quality development backed behind it, which has piqued many people's interest.
One of the best aspects of the game is the many different augmentations in The Ascent that players can make to their character and weapons, giving gamers various tactics when approaching situations. The Cyberdeck, in particular, is useful for hacking enemy turrets and unlocking doors.
However, it takes quite a bit of leveling up for fans to get the full intended use out of the cyberdeck. On top of that, these upgrades can only be found at specific locations across the map. So for The Ascent fans looking to make the best out of the cyberdeck, here are all the possible upgrade locations.
Cluster 13
Head west of the cluster shop for one of the first upgrades, and gamers should find it lying on the floor next to a railing.
No Man's Land
Another piece of upgrade can be found in a small room on the way to the Grinder. Look for a staircase outside and climb up it; the chest should be inside here.
Black Lake Towers
This upgrade piece can be found as part of the main story mode mission titled 'Trading Places.' It should be located behind Noghead in Coder's Cave.
AG Vault
For this upgrade piece, follow the story mode missions until you reach the AG Vault. It should be on the floor next to the main chest.
Corpzone
This upgrade piece can be found locked inside an Ice 1 chest in the southwestern corner of the map.
Cosmodrome
For this upgrade piece, head towards the northwest corner of the map, and it should be locked inside a red chest.
Nitroad
This upgrade piece can only be found if gamers have the ability to unlock Ice 2 chests and doors with their player build in The Ascent. It should be in the building that's labeled "Storage 168."
Lanier's Apartment
For this upgrade piece, go inside the security office for the building in this area.
ExMat Lab
This upgrade piece can be found as part of the Trace Protocol main story mission. It should be located in one of the rooms in the northwest corner of the map.
The Glut
For this upgrade piece, follow the prison side quest storyline. It should be located inside the building with a glowing green door.
Arcology Pinnacle
For the last upgrade piece, follow the Syntax Error main story mission in The Ascent. It should be located in the outdoor area next to the railing.
The Ascent is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
