The first next-gen Battlefield game is already out, available on PCs and current-gens systems now and coming to PS4 and Xbox One later this month We reviewed Battlefield 4 on its primary platform (PC), describing it as the most visually impressive and dynamic Battlefield experience yet, held down only by a few missing features and bugs that should be rectified in future updates and DLC Expansions.

But it's not just the Frostbite 3 game engine that makes BF4 look gorgeous, it's the artists at DICE who design the conceptual imagery and digital assets for the game. For lovers of the visual eye candy of video games and of the franchise, Titan Books is releasing The Art of Battlefield 4 on November 5th and we have an exclusive look at some of the images featured in the hardcover.

Featuring shots of Shanghai and of the naval warfare elements of Battlefield 4, the following four pieces of concept art show the pre-conceived designs of key moments and action sequences from the game's single-player campaign.
