A pop culture fan has made impressive digital artwork that combines The Avengers and Star Wars through a meeting between Thanos and Darth Vader. Thanos is the infamous Mad Titan from the Marvel comics who is responsible for wiping out half of the universe, while Darth Vader is the chosen one from Star Wars responsible for bringing balance to Force and killing almost every single Jedi in the galaxy.
Both committed massive amounts of genocide, but both are Avengers and Star Wars fans' top 10 favorite villains because of how hard they are to defeat. Both are feared, deadly, and don't back down easily. Darth Vader was considered unrivaled and almost unstoppable during his prime years, and he is often regarded as one of the strongest Force users to exist.
In the comics, Thanos was often able to fight multiple Avengers at once, including the heavy hitters such as Thor, Iron Man, and Hulk. The Avengers movies did a good job at showing how tough of an opponent Thanos was, as he paved his way through each of the Avengers like it was nothing. Ultimately, Earth's Mightiest Heroes were able to defeat Thanos and his army, but it took several years before the team found a solution to undo the decimation caused by the Mad Titan. The victory was also not without loss, as both Iron Man and Black Widow, and probably countless more, were killed in the process of vanquishing Thanos.
The artwork by guido.psd looks incredible and will be a part of the artist's 'vs' series, which has characters from alternate universes face off against each other through digitally drawn fan art. Many fans love debating the question of "who will win between...?," which is why Marvel's What If...? series is doing well. It explores the questions on everybody's mind about events that haven't been seen in the MCU canon.
As far as this artwork goes, it is very hard to say who would actually win because there are a number of circumstances to think about. If Thanos had all six infinity stones, it's hard to see how Darth Vader would win when Thanos can literally snap him out of existence. However, Darth Vader possesses the ability to manipulate the force, which is something that Thanos can't do, and in that regard, Vader would just snap his neck and be on with his day.
It's very cool to see fans debate in the comment section about all of the technicalities regarding who would win or in what condition. With that being said, definitely check out the artwork and give it some thought as to who the vote should go to. The artist also has more fan-made artwork, including posters and other fun designs.
