Although Mr. Beast’s Rock Paper Scissors Tournament this weekend was supposed to be focused on supporting charity, the event featured a little bit of controversy. One of the participants, Turner “Tfue” Tenney, accidentally leaked access to the private chat for the RPS event as well as Mr. Beast’s phone number while streaming live on Twitch.

It was only for a brief moment, but viewers were quick to grab the numbers and flood the charity stream chat. Eventually, the stream froze, Tfue took down his own stream, and then things eventually returned to the normal.

Even though most of the other content creators were not streaming – to keep the focus on Mr. Beast’s broadcast and encourage donations there – Tfue decided to go live to show his perspective of the event. But while he was trying to get everything setup, Tfue ended up looking at a Twitter DM with Mr. Beast that included some privileged information. Tfue knew that he had made a mistake almost immediately and tried to own up with numerous apologies. He even donated $10,000 to Mr. Beast’s stream and encouraged his viewers (which totaled more than 50,000 at the time) to do the same.

To Mr. Beast’s credit, the generous YouTuber took everything in stride and said that there were no hard feelings between him and Tfue. It was a mistake that likely could have been avoided, but one that didn’t seem to do any significant damage.

At least one participant in the tournament, however, was frustrated with Tfue’s mistake and called him out on it. In a series of Tweets, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins explained that it was Tfue who leaked Mr. Beast’s number and access to the chat. With some people trying to blame Ninja, the Mixer streamer felt like he needed to set the record straight.

Given that Tfue and Ninja have a history of going back and forth with each other, the callout lead to even more controversy. Tfue went on a heated rant directed at Ninja, who he would end up competing against should the two win their opening round Rock Paper Scissors games.

Ultimately, though, the focus of Mr. Beast’s Rock Paper Scissors tournament is on supporting charity and it’s worth highlighting the event to show support. As disappointing as the Tfue leak may be, Mr. Beast is not willing to dwell on it and would rather put the focus on what truly matters: raising money for charity.
