Terraria was originally released nine years ago, yet the game has managed to stay relevant through timeless mining and building mechanics as well as updates. Terraria was originally given a warm reception, but this has only increased as players have found the depth that the game has. The latest update (1.4) has renewed interest in the title once more. A key part of the exploration of Terraria is managing an inventory, and a great way to do that is with a Void Vault.

The most recent update for Terraria has introduced a significant amount of new content and many players will want to experiment with what they can build and find. The Void Vault allows players to store items and free up space on their character. To have access to this inventory, players will need to first equip and create a Void Bag, which is relatively simple for players who have mined plenty of materials.

Terraria 1.4: How to Make a Void Bag

To create a void bag, players need to find a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar crafting station and use three ingredients although one ingredient changes depending on the altar. The ingredients required to make the item at the Demon Altar are 30x bone, 15x jungle spores, and 30x shadow scale. Conversely, if a player has a Crimson Altar, they will need 30x bone, 15x jungle spores, and 30 x tissue sample. Once players have mixed these ingredients, they will have a Void Bag which allows them to look at their inventory in a Void Vault at any time. Another bonus of this method of storage is the cool and mysterious purple aesthetic, that represents the void, which appears on the screen of Terraria.

The Terraria 1.4 update is set to be the last, but the game now has plenty of content to keep players entertained for the foreseeable future including new enemies and mechanics for the passage of time as well as mining. With that in mind, it seems that the game is leaving while being at its very best iteration and many players who have not given the title attention over its nine-year life span may now choose to give it a belated playthrough.

There is plenty to uncover in Terraria and many players will relish the opportunity to dive deeper into the game with even more to discover. While picking up new items, having an extra place to put them is a wise move and the Void Bag is one of the most magical ways to do this.

Terraria is out now on 3DS, iOS, PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
