There is a secret boss hiding in Terraria's Labor of Love update, and many players will undoubtedly be interested in going up against it. To do this, fans must create a specific item and then use it within a special seed. This guide is here to provide full details on this process and help players summon the boss that was added with the release of Terraria 1.4.4.

Terraria 1.4.4: How to Summon New Boss

In order to summon the boss in the Labor of Love update, players must get their hands on three items: the Mechanical Skull, the Mechanical Worm, and the Mechanical Eye. These items are typically used to summon Skeleton Prime, the Destroyer, and the Twins in Terraria, and they are made by combining the following materials at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil:

  • Mechanical Eye: 3x Lens, 5x Iron Bar, 6x Soul of Light
  • Mechanical Skull: 30x Bone, 5x Iron Bar, 3x Soul of Light, 3x Soul of Night
  • Mechanical Worm: 6x Rotten Chunk or 6x Vertebra, 5x Iron Bar, 6x Soul of Night

After obtaining the three requisite items, players should create a new world using this seed: getfixedboi. Upon entering this new world, Terraria fans will find themselves in the Underworld, and they should use a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil to combine the Mechanical Eye, the Mechanical Skull, and the Mechanical Worm and create Ocram's Razor. Indeed, this is the item that will cause the boss to appear, and players should use it when they are ready to do battle.

With respect to specific details on the boss itself, it is known as Mechdusa, and it is a combination of the three aforementioned mechanical bosses in Terraria. To defeat Mechdusa, players must dispatch all three of these foes, and each will drop its own Treasure Bag when slain. Those are not the only rewards that fans will receive from this boss, though, as a weapon from the 1.4.4 update, the Waffle's Iron, is also guaranteed to drop.
