The new trailer for Tekken 7's Season Pass 4 dropped, showing the return of longtime favorite character Kunimitsu. The skilled ninja faces off against rival and popular cyborg ninja Yoshimitsu in the new trailer and reveals the new stage accompanying her.

In early August, Tekken fans received a new trailer announcing the Tekken 7's fourth season of DLC. The trailer revealed that Season 4 will have a new character and a stage paired with the fighter as they're released, along with various free updates to the game's battle system and other improvements. The first of these reveals would end up being the long-awaited return of Kunimitsu, a major fan-favorite of the series who hasn't been seen since the second game.

It took quite some time before more news about the game's fourth season was announced and the new Season Pass 4 was revealed. Most of the information revealed in the trailer debuted in an accidental leak by Bandai Namco. Surprisingly, the general details from the leak, including the new character, stage, and other details, match up with what's shown in the trailer.

The trailer starts with the signature clash between series favorites Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama before transitioning to a path lit by two parallel lamps that quickly rushes up a set of stairs. More lamps are lit as the scene moves, until it reaches the top and shows the new stage of the tranquil Vermilion Gates.

From there, the video shows fighter Master Raven injured and on her last leg as she faces an unknown combatant, whose face is hidden until she's cut down. After that, the video has Yoshimitsu appear on the scene at night as he hears a tranquil flute played, revealing Kunimitsu atop a nearby tower.

This is similar to the DLC trailer for returning fighter Ganryu, as it contrasted him with new fighters. The video goes on to display Kunimitsu's abilities from leaps, dashing through black smoke, and unleashing some quick slashes with her two handheld blades against the cyborg ninja. The fight wraps up with the female ninja showing her special move, as she sets both of her blades on fire and slices through Yoshimitsu. There's a brief cutscene where Kunimitsu removes her mask and even takes a sword off-screen from the downed cyborg.

The video ends showing the rest of the Season Pass 4 details, such as Kunimitsu, the Vermilion Gates, as well as the free updates for new moves, Tekken Prowess, and more coming in Fall 2020. While some Season Passes come with cosmetic character and weapon skins, this one sticks with the essentials. The next character and stage are left obscured and will be released in Early Spring 2021 for the Season Pass. With last year's wave of new DLC fighters for Tekken the game, the return of fan-favorite Kunimitsu will bring more attention to Tekken 7 and its fourth season.

Tekken 7 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
