Tekken is legendary for it's over -the-top badass characters, and though this newest challenger may not be Solid Snake, he is certainly no exception. During the Tekken World Tour Finals today, a terrifying new character for Tekken 7 was introduced: Muay Thai champion Fahkumram.

Fahkumram joins the cast of Tekken 7 this spring as part of Season 3's DLC, along with a new stage. The trailer that introduces him shows just how much of an unstoppable badass this fighter can be, maybe even more so than Negan.

The trailer opens with resident MMA expert Craig Marduk winning a fight against Armor King, only to be surrounded by a military team. Turns out they're just there to clear a landing zone, as Fahkumram is airdropped in front of Marduk, chained to a metal bed like he's part of some sort of secret super soldier program. Once unshackled, the scar and tattoo covered fighter literally towers over Marduk before unleashing a barrage of powerful kicks and punches. This is followed by a quick montage of Fahkumram facing off against some of the best characters in Tekken 7 with similarly devastating results.

The trailer was only released a few hours ago, but fans are already drawing comparisons between Fahkumram and Bruce Irvin, another Tekken character who also practices Muay Thai style fighting. Ever since the character's introduction in Tekken 2 and return in Tekken 5 and 6, fans have been asking for Bruce's return in this newest installment. While Fahkumram is clearly a much more brutal character, hopefully, his release should be enough to tide over Muay Thai fans.

There's also some theories floating around about Fahkumram's backstory. The main theory right now is that he really is a super soldier created by the Mishima Zibatsu, the same giant multinational conglomerate run by series villain Heihachi Mishima. They were also the ones behind the conception of Steve Fox with the goal of making a more durable test subject for their experiments. Unless the Thai military routinely drops Muay Thai fighters into warzones as secret weapons, the "super soldier" backstory is probably a safe bet.

Bandai Namco has also recently released videos for some of their other DLC characters, just like they have for Lei Wulong, Anna, and others in the past. One of those trailers is for the stylish new character Leroy Smith, an American martial artist. There was also a new trailer released to celebrate the return of sumo wrestler Ganryu, who's been with the series since the very first game. Both of these DLC characters will be coming to Tekken 7 as soon as December 10th.

Tekken 7 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Fahkumram will be available to download Spring 2020, along with the new stage featured in the trailer.
