Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is an arcade beat 'em up that brings the heroic turtles from the 1987 cartoon show to life. This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is being developed by Tribute Games Inc. and will be published by Dotemu, which published Streets of Rage 4.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge stars the four ninja turtles as they take on their arch-nemeses The Shredder, his evil Foot Clan, Krang, and more classic enemies. Each member of the team will have their own attacks and unique moves that players can master as they play as their favorite turtle hero. However, the turtles aren't the only heroes that will be playable in the game when it comes out.

A new trailer was recently released confirming that Master Splinter, the turtles' mentor, will be playable in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. Now, Splinter won't be DLC, he will be playable in the game when it launches. While the official release date has yet to be revealed, players can look forward to playing as another member of the main cast in the game when it comes out.

The new trailer showcases the gameplay for Splinter in the game, showing some of his attacks and special moves as he takes down enemies. The video shows Splinter will be using his staff as a weapon alongside his other ninja attacks in the game. It even shows Splinter performing some of his special ninja moves against enemies on a couple of occasions in the trailer. The first one is a spinning attack in the air, and the second is Splinter slashing away at nearby enemies. The trailer even shows Splinter doing a quick combo with Donatello, which may be possible with the rest of the ninja turtles.

However, Splinter isn't the only hero from the original cartoon that will be included in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, as April O'Neil will be playable, too. Like Splinter, April will come with her own attacks and special moves that she can use against enemies in the game. On top of that, players will also be able to perform combo attacks with the turtles against enemies, like the one shown in Splinter's trailer.

After revealing Splinter as a playable character in the game, he could be the last playable character revealed. However, the game might also reveal that the hockey mask-wearing Casey Jones will be playable in the game too, or possibly added in later. For now, players can look forward to playing as Splinter alongside his young turtle pupils and April O'Neil.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is scheduled to release in 2022 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
