It's been almost two years since Taylor Swift released a wholly original studio album, which was Evermore, back in late 2020, during the heights of the COVID-19 pandemic. Evermore was meant as a sort of spiritual successor to Folklore, surprising fans due to it being released only five months after the latter, a first for the singer-songwriter.
After tons of teases, TikTok videos, and Tweets, Taylor Swift is releasing her next original studio album titled Midnights. Swift has stated that the album contains the stories of "13 sleepless nights scattered throughout [her] life." Midnights is also described as a "collection of music written in the middle of the night through terrors and sweet dreams."
Taylor Swift Midnights Release Time
To go right along with the name of her new album, Taylor Swift's tenth studio album, Midnights, will release at midnight Eastern Time (ET) on Friday, October 21, 2022. Fans can now pre-save the tracks on Spotify and Apple Music so that they'll be ready to listen to them once the album drops on Friday.

Taylor Swift revealed all the tracks for Midnights via several TikTok videos, where the singer pulled numbered bingo balls out of a traditional bingo cage with a handle. There are 13 tracks for the normal album and 16 tracks for the deluxe version. Taylor Swift calls the number 13 her lucky number, so fans are kind of freaking out over the number of tracks for Midnights, especially since the thirteenth track is titled Mastermind, indicating it might be one of the more memorable songs on the album.
