The holiday season is approaching, which brings the next generation of video games with the PS5 and Xbox Series X, gifts for the holidays, and of course, big discounts and deals. According to a popular video game leaker and insider, Target has some pretty massive promotions headed to stores this Sunday.

Target has a buy two get one (B2G1) free promotion on the way. Along with music, books, board games, and movies, the promotion includes video games, and some of them are big holiday game releases, even including some PS5 games.

Wario64 shared an image of the Target promotion on Twitter, explaining that the sale will begin on Sunday. Target seems to be getting a headstart on the holiday season in terms of sales, not unlike how the GameStop holiday guide hopes to send shoppers to its doors. Buy two get one free is a massive deal, as it means buyers can save up to $60 if they choose to pick up three games at the standard full price.

Some of the highlights on the list of B2G1 list are Madden NFL 21, Godfall for the PS5, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Watch Dogs: Legion. Wario64 says that some games and preorders will be excluded, but it's likely that at least the games on the ad will be a part of the deal. The excluded games could be select first-party games that decided not to participate.

This isn't the first time Target had a buy two get one free deal, as it and Amazon had the promotion going earlier this year in March. It is a wonderful opportunity to stock up on multiple games. Not only is it nice to find three games to play over the holidays, but it also allows gamers to perhaps purchase a game or two for themselves, while using the third game as a gift for a friend, loved one, etc.

While this deal is fantastic, other locations around the world may struggle to find discounts leading up to the holiday season. England will be under lockdown for a month, leaving very little time for shoppers to purchase gifts leading up to the holidays. There will be online sales of course, and some locations will likely set themselves up as Click-and-Collect, but it won't be as simple this year as walking into a store and taking advantage of a buy two get one free type deal, as shoppers in the US have access to.
