Bandai Namco's Tales of series has been going strong in Japan since the mid 1990s and is slowly picking up steam in North America as well, with Tales of Veperia: Definitive Edition finding success on Xbox and PlayStation 4 in the western world. While North American gamers do still miss out on the occasional Tales of installment, the series' latest game, Tales of Arise, is coming to the western continent and a new trailer shows off just what fans can expect from the JRPG.

As fans of the series likely know, Tales of Arise was supposed to be released in 2020 but was pushed back due to covid-19 related issues. Thankfully, the trailer makes it apparent that work has continued on the title and even promises that further news is coming in the spring.

Footage in the trailer teases the gorgeous, stylized graphics with an almost painted look to them and briefly introduces some of the game's heroes and villains. Tales of Arise will also be the first game in the series to use the Unreal Engine, a fact that has many fans excited for the new Tales Of game.

Wth the new trailer as well as the small amount of Tales of Arise news shared last December, fans are rightfully excited. In fact, a quick glance at the trailer's YouTube comments reveals mass speculation that the "further news" teased at the trailer's end will be the announcement of a release date. Of course, that is merely speculation, and Tales of fans will simply have to wait and see what Tales of Arise news awaits them in the spring.

Tales of Arise is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
