Tales of Arise is one of 2021's more highly-anticipated games. Along with learning today that Tales of Arise will launch on September 10 on Xbox Series X|S and PS5--along with the PS4, Xbox One, and PC--a brand new trailer has dropped for the Japanese action role-playing game.

Fans of the "Tales of" series have been waiting for news on Tales of Arise for quite some time, and today the floodgates have broken. Tales of Arise was delayed last year, partially thanks to the difficulty of developing around the COVID-19 pandemic. But now Bandai Namco has shared details of the game, including an exciting trailer that showcases new gameplay and story information.

Courtesy of IGN, the Tales of Arise trailer shows off some incredible visuals, gameplay, story elements, characters, dialogue, and more. The trailer also is a reminder of the balancing act of appealing to western and Japanese audiences that Tales of Arise needs to do. Bandai Namco is likely looking for the series to evolve and grow, much like Capcom did with Monster Hunter World, for example, and Tales of Arise has a wonderful opportunity to do so.

The trailer itself has been met with high praise from fans thus far, as the comment section is a combination of applause and awe, as well as relief to finally see that the game will be released in the near future. The Tales of series is one that many enjoy, and Tales of Arise has been on the wish list of fans for quite some time. The trailer appears to have built on the excitement for fans.

Tales of Arise will be the seventeenth game in the mainline series, and it has the opportunity to be the highest selling. There is a lot of enthusiasm building up behind this game, and now that it will be releasing on multiple platforms, including on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, Tales of Arise could perform very well.

The one console that is missing is the Nintendo Switch. Theoretically, the hybrid system could handle the game, as Tales of Arise is running on both new and old tech on the other consoles. Games in the series have made it on Nintendo consoles in the past. If Tales of Arise were to release on the Switch as well, that would be another audience (around 80 million Switch users) that would have the opportunity to play the game.

Tales of Arise launches on September 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
