The special Devil Arms weapons have been a staple of the Tales franchise since Tales of Symphonia that launched in 2003. These powerful weapons are usually found in the post-game content after the main story has ended, as is the case with Tales of Arise’s own version of the Devil Arms too.

Each character in Tales of Arise has their own unique Devil Arm that needs to be found. However, their strength is entirely dependant on how attentive the player has been when it comes to fighting lots of enemies on the battlefield. Here's the weapon associated with each main character, and how to find them.

What Are The Devil Arms?

The Devil Arms' strength correlates to the total number of enemies a character has defeated in battle throughout the course of the game. A character like Alphen, for example, shouldn’t have any issue with this, as he’s often used as the main fighter.

The Devil Arms’ stat increases are retroactive, so if Alphen has defeated 2000 enemies in battle, his Devil Arm will have 2000 Attack and Elemental Attack damage. While this sounds like a lot of work, if the player hasn’t been avoiding battles on the map, they should have accumulated a significant number of enemy defeats. Furthermore, if the party is strong enough to defeat the endgame bosses in order to obtain the Devil Arms in the Otherworld, they should already have a good battle history in the game.

How To Obtain The Devil Arms

As stated above, the Devil Arms weapons can only be found after completing the main game. Thus, the player will need to load their Clear Data after finishing the game to gain access to the “Another Hillside Anomaly” quest in Tales of Arise.

This, in turn, will open up the “Otherworldly Visitors” quest that features the toughest bosses in the game and Keys for defeating them. Realistically, the party needs to be around Level 90 and above to even begin to stand a chance of winning and obtaining the weapons at this point.
