Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games' parent company, has plans to release more than 90 games in the next five years. The next game that the company will be releasing is the XCOM 2: Collection for Nintendo Switch, which will be published under 2K Games.

In a new financial call, Take-Two Interactive confirmed that it has 93 games planned for release "over the next five years through fiscal 2025." 63 of these games are "core" games and 15 of these 63 will be releases on new platforms, said Take-Two Interactive president Karl Slatoff. There will also be 17 "mid-core" or arcade-style games and 13 more casual titles. 47 games will be part of established series with 46 being part of new IP, 72 games will be on console, PC, and/or streaming while 21 are mobile games. There will be 67 paid titles and 26 will be free to play and that math suggests that there will be five free to play titles on PC and console.

Several of these games have been confirmed in the last few weeks or months. 2K Games is bringing more titles to Nintendo Switch and PGA Tour 2K1 and the Mafia: Trilogy release in August. It's highly likely that Visual Concepts will be releasing a new NBA 2K game this year and Mafia 3 developer Hangar 13 is rumored to be developing a new IP.

Another rumored title that is likely to be part of that 93 game lineup is Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 6. There are rumors that GTA 6 is in very early development. While this means that the game probably won't be released very soon, it would be extremely surprising if the title wasn't available for release by 2025.

A pre-2025 release date is also supported by the suggestion that Rockstar plans to release a smaller version of GTA 6 before adding to it with DLC. None of this has been officially confirmed though and it's unclear when Rockstar may properly announce the game.

However, Slatoff does warn that it's possible that not all of the 93 games will be released. "It is likely that some of these titles will not be developed through completion, and we will undoubtedly be adding new titles to our slate," said the Take-Two interactive president. It's hard to see bigger games like GTA 6 being cancelled considering how many copies of GTA 5 have been sold, but it's possible that a few of the smaller games could find themselves being abandoned.
