What is Prey?
Prey is a science-fiction first-person shooter game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Billed as a re-imagining of the Prey IP, the new Prey game takes place aboard the Talos I space station, where humans have been researching a deadly alien species known as the Typhon. The Typhon resemble blobs of black goo that can take many forms, and as male or female protagonist Morgan Yu, players will have to be creative if they hope to defeat the alien threat and make it off of the Talos I space station alive.
With gameplay inspired by classic sci-fi titles like System Shock and even Nintendo’s Super Metroid, Morgan Yu is able to acquire a number of special abilities and weapons to better progress through the Talos I and fight the Typhon. For example, Yu has a unique mimic ability that allows him or her to take the form of objects like turrets, toilet paper, coffee mugs, fruit, and more to fight the Typhon. Yu can also obtain the Gloo Gun, an innovative gadget that allows players to solve puzzles and access hard-to-reach places aboard the Talos I.
