  • Release Sep 01, 2015

Official Site:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the fifth core game in the Metal Gear series and will be a sequel to 2014’s Metal Gear Sold: Ground Zeroes. In this entry of the series, as Snake, players will attempt to track down those responsible for the destruction of Militaires Sans Frontières in Ground Zeroes. Using the stealth mechanics and sophisticated AI that have made the series a fan favorite since the first game’s release, The Phantom Pain is sure to be another solid entry in the series.

Metal Gear Solid V will boast an enormous open-world adventure that creator Hideo Kojima has estimated to be “200 times” larger than that of Ground Zeroes. It will also be the first in the series to use English-speaking actors for voice work and motion capture before the Japanese cast, and will boast big names like Kiefer Sutherland and Troy Baker among its character cast.

Fans were worried after Hideo Kojima parted ways with Konami and his name was removed from promotional materials. But Kojima and the company have both confirmed that he will continue work on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain until its release in September of 2015, reassuring many series die-hards.
