inFamous Second Son follows in the footsteps of previous games in the series, as the protagonist, Delsin, finds himself sporting new superpowers. In an effort to protect Seattle from Conduits, or superpowered humans like Delsin, a government organization called D.U.P. puts the city under martial law. Delsin—aided and occasionally hindered by other Conduits—sets out to get rid of Brooke Augustine, the leader of the D.U.P., who is responsible for the deaths of many members of Delsin’s tribe. The player can choose from different moral paths, called Karma, which affect the game’s ending.

Featuring an open world map and a variety of powers to be gained over the course of the game, Second Son is a worthy successor to earlier games in the series. The game received generally positive reviews, especially for its graphics and combat, but some critics found the morality system outdated and simplistic. Even so, inFamous Second Son was the fastest-selling entry in the series to date, and players found plenty to enjoy.
